Town Hall Mtg with Rep Jay Walker - Don't let funds and fixing our town get voted away!
Wednesday, March 19, 2014
Jay Walker is hosting a Town Hall Meeting on March 19th at 6:30 at the Oxon Hill Library
Come out and Ask him personally why he is blocking Forest Heights from getting an impact fee.
He is the one not voting for the town to get an impact fee that could reduce your taxes, fix infrastructure and pay for 24 hour police coverage. Why Jay?
In December at our town meeting he said if Mayor Goodall could show him other non-host towns that received an impact fee he would support the Town of Forest Heights getting one (tape available at town). Now he has reneged and has said that he will not let our bill get to the floor for a vote.
Berlin (10%), Ocean City (20%), and Ocean Pines (10% -not even a municipality) get an impact fee from Worchester County. Anne Arundel Casino Live (7%) and the Baltimore Casino (8%) will get an impact fee from the PG County impact fee. Yet when the Town of Forest Heights has asked for a fair and equitable 10%like other non-host towns and businesses
