For the past eleven years, I have been a resident of the Town of Forest Heights, Maryland. Since 2018, I have served this great town as Ward I Council Member, Council President, Acting Mayor, and currently Mayor. As a police officer for the past eighteen years and a military veteran, being a public servant is my number one priority.
During my tenure as an elected official, I have introduced legislation from enhancing the improved quality of life in our beautiful community to formulating budgetary decisions (always considering the taxpayer first) to implementing public safety policies and standards.
I firmly stand for the beliefs of equality regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or transgender status and disability. As a council member, I voted to support Resolution 33-19 which adopted guidelines for the Forest Heights Police Department as it relates to the enforcement of Federal Immigration Laws and discriminatory profiling by not entering a memorandum of understanding with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement or the Department of Homeland Security.
The Town of Forest Heights future is dependent upon rebuilding infrastructure, strategic planning, technology advancement, and most importantly, economic development. My platform is fewer politics and more service within the community. Forest Heights is the Jewel of the Potomac and our youth deserve to inherit its future.
