CHEVERLY, MD, (ABC7) — In recent days, mosquitoes gathered
in two different state bug traps in Cheverly and in Forest Heights have tested
positive for West Nile virus. The experts advice to guard against bites is to
search for and dump the standing water mosquitoes need to develop and to wear
loose-fitting, long sleeved clothing outside.
Another bit of advice, use bug repellent even
if you don’t see mosquitoes and even if you’re in an area where it hasn’t been
detected because you have to assume West Nile virus is everywhere.
