Forest Heights one of 13 recipients of PG County Government & Chesapeake Bay Trust Funding Grant
Stormwater practices truly accomplish two goals: Improving water quality and improving our communities. This new partnership with Prince George’s County allows nonprofit organizations like faith-based organizations, homeowners associations, community groups, and others to play a much-desired larger role in the community effort to restore our collective green spaces and waterways. This grant helps Forest Heights accomplish our goal of better community - and world.

In Forest Heights, tree initiatives take root, helping our community
Forest Heights Mayor Jacqueline E. Goodall's tree-planting crusade is part of a growing awareness among officials in the county of the benefits of maintaining a healthy urban forest. That awareness is leading to marked efforts to improve the tree canopy in Prince George’s.

Forest Heights Awarded $35K for ‘Green Street’ Improvements
The Town of Forest Heights was one of seven municipalities, counties and nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania awarded funding from the Green Streets, Green Jobs, Green Towns initiative sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Trust and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Forest Heights Among Towns Added to MD’s Sustainable Communities
Seventeen Maryland communities – including the resort town of Ocean City and the retail and college hub of Towson – were added to the state’s list of Sustainable Communities this fall, joining the statewide initiative to strengthen reinvestment and revitalization in Maryland’s older neighborhoods.

Forest Heights - 'Day to Serve'
the Town of Forest Heights will hold two all-day food drives Sept. 19 and 20 at Eastover Shopping Center (10 Audrey Lane, Oxon Hill, MD 20745) as part of this year’s statewide “Day to Serve” event.
