Family Fun Series

Enjoy a night out with your family on us! This program provides free professional, educational, and recreational programs for the whole family. This program is partially made possible by a grant from United American Youth and Parents of Civic City.

Lunch at the Library Series

The library teams up with professionals to discuss issues affecting Civic City residents. All Lunch at the Library Series are at Civic City Library, at noon, the first Friday of each month.

Meet the Author Series

This is a free event brought to you by Civic City Library and the Friends of the Civic City Library. Each event includes a book signing, a silent auction, and opportunity drawings, as well as free refreshments.

Moonlight Storytime

Children and their parents are invited to participate in our Moonlight Storytime. We share our love for books through stories, songs, and fingerplays in a small group setting. Storytime is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn to enjoy books and group activities.

All storytimes are free, open to the public, and no registration is required. Moonlight Storytime starts Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Summer Reading Program

Get weekly prizes just for reading and attend free entertainment shows at the Civic City Auditorium. The program takes place on Mondays from June 22 until July 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Teen Advisory Council Workshops & Events

In our effort to make the library more welcoming to teens, the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) serves as an outlet for teens to offer their input for the young adult collection, the Teen Lounge, and library programs.

For more information about any of these programs, call the library at 785-587-1853.
