Forest Heights Election Instructions 2023Ballot Tracking
The Town of Forest Heights is not responsible for information displayed on third-party sites.
Absentee ballots can be obtained from the Administrative Office at the Municipal Building. For more information, call 301-839-1030. To find out if the Board of Elections has received your application for an absentee ballot, when your ballot was mailed, or if your voted ballot has been returned, contact the Maryland State Board of Elections.
Forms
Please find attached the Forest Heights Candidate Financial Disclosure Form, the Forest Heights Candidate Certificate of Nomination Form, and the Maryland Voter registration form (in English and Spanish). Completed Financial Disclosure Forms and Certificates of nomination must be hand delivered to the Town Clerk during office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:00 PM).

Voter Registration Instructions
To be eligible to vote, a person must reside in the town and be registered with the Prince George's County Board of Election Supervisors. For more registration information please contact the Prince George's County Board of Elections at 301-430-8020.
To register to vote in Forest Heights you must register at least 21 days prior to any election or 11 days after any election, and you must also be:
- A citizen of the United States
- A resident of the Town of Forest Heights
- At least 16 years of age (you may register to vote at 16 but cannot vote until at least 18 years of age by the date of the next General or Special Election)
- Not have been convicted of a felony, or if you have, you have completed serving a court ordered sentence of imprisonment, including any term of parole or probation for the conviction
- Not under guardianship for mental disability
Forest Heights elections are nonpartisan and one need not be a member of a political party to vote or run for office in Town elections.
Locate Your District and Ward
All Forest Heights residents reside within Election District 2 and may vote at Forest Heights Elementary for county, state, and federal elections. Municipal elections are typically held at the Municipal Building.
To vote for your Town Council member you must know which ward you reside in. You may only vote for the council member in the ward in which you are registered and reside. This information can be found on the map of Forest Heights. All registered voters who reside in Forest Heights residents may vote for mayor.
